Best private horticulture college in Maharashtra. By recognizing the need of attention towards Horticulture. By focusing on development of rural students, institute has started four year degree course (B.Sc (Hons.) Horticulture with intake capacity of 40 in year 2013. In academic year 2021-22 intake capacity for our B.Sc (Hons.) Horticulture College was increased by 20 & becomes 60 students per year.

Goals of Horticulture College

    3. To improve rural livelihoods by giving farmers and business owners access to better horticulture techniques and technologies.
    4. To use sustainable horticulture production techniques to provide economic, food, and nutritional security.

Objectives of Horticulture College

Educational Objectives:
  • We provide undergraduate programs in horticulture and associated fields and to prepare students for post graduation and doctrate programme also competitative exam.
  • Ensure hands-on training and field exposure through student READY (Rural Entrepreneurship Awareness Development Yojana) and internships..
  • Foster critical thinking, innovation, and entrepreneurship in students.

 

Research Objectives:
  • Undertake need-based and location-specific research in fruit, vegetable, floriculture, medicinal, and spice crops.
  • Cultivate innovative horticulture varieties, technology, and sustainable production methods.
  • Encourage resource-efficient and climate-resilient gardening techniques.  
Extension Objectives:
  • Transfer research findings and modern techniques to farmers and horticulture-based industries.
  • Conduct training programs, demonstrations, field visits, and exhibitions for skill development.
  • Serve as a knowledge hub for farmers, agri-entrepreneurs, and horticulture officers.

 

Environmental and Social Objectives:
  • Encourage eco-friendly horticulture that conserves biodiversity and natural resources.
  • Promote awareness of nutrition, health, and income generation through horticultural produce.

Encourage the empowerment of women and young people by providing opportunity for horticultural livelihoods.
